The City of Orlando has taken delivery of their 7th Shield Series S2 Pumper. The units feature Cummins ISL 425 HP engines, ROM roll up doors, over 200 cu. ft. of compartmentation, 24″ extended front bumper with hose storage, Hale 1500 gpm pump, 500-gallon water tank, 30-gallon foam cell, and Akron 3433 deck gun. These units also feature custom equipment mounting and miscellaneous special equipment. Sold by David Stonitsch of South Florida Emergency Vehicles.

Winston-Salem Fire Dept. Winston-Salem, NC

Chief Gist and the Winston-Salem North Carolina Fire Department recently took delivery of the first of four identical pumpers. The pumpers were designed by Chief Sechrist and head mechanic Darren Taylor to suit the needs of Winston-Salem fire department. The apparatus features a Detroit Diesel engine, Hale 1500 GPM pump, extended front bumper with a trash line, low transverse speedlays with pull-out tray’s for ease of re-loading hose. Upper coffin style compartments, full depth compartments, rescue style stainless body, special pull out oil dry compartment, 6 KW Smart Power generator. The apparatus was sold and is serviced by Stevens Fire Equipment
