The Corpo de Bombeiros Militar do Estado do Acre is just one group of military-based firefighter squads located around Brazil. Acre is located on the far west corner of Brazil, surrounded by the Amazon forest, and is sparsely populated.

The following incident took place in Macaé and is obtained from the firefighting corps from Rio de Janeiro, in the south-east of Brazil. The tanker apparently carried gasoline.
