The Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service has 9 Wholetime, 3 day staffed and 19 Retained Fire Stations and with that covers some 1000 square miles with a total estimated population of 956,560. They recently placed orders for the Avensis 2.2-litre D-4D diesels, manufactured at Toyota’s plant in Burnaston, Derbyshire, for use by fire officers for operational purposes and by senior and middle managers.
